Söder is closed until January 26th – 03.01.24

Söder’s best terrace is closing for a month for renovation and revitalization. We choose to close for a brief period to create new conditions on the terrace. We’ll be back soon, stronger and more attractive than ever.

The planned reopening is January 26th, just in time for payday.

New drink – Tangorabatt 14.12.23

Our cocktails are so carefully distilled, experimented with, and meticulously crafted that we consider each new drink to be newsworthy. Meet Tangorabatt, a reference to the creation of the different “martinis” in the early 2000s. We’ve compressed all our “martini” expertise into a small glass, infused it with Swedish winter pear, and created an insanely sexy fluffy top with flavors of passion fruit and vanilla.

Bar of the Year – Freyja Wins Stockholm Prize 2023

We, and especially our bar, were proud to receive the Stockholm Prize 2023 from Nöjesguiden over the weekend. The prize recognizes exemplary behavior in Stockholm throughout 2023, and while we wouldn’t claim perfection, our efforts were deemed exemplary enough for a win. A big thank you to Nöjesguiden!

We at Freyja stand on the side of the righteous and thus, we want to see you for one last hoorah before you burn all your money on expensive gym memberships and embark on a sober month. Let’s go out with a bang and bid farewell to a truly crappy year also known as 2023.

The people behind Freyja – Konstantin

Say hello to Konstantin! Bartender at Freyja!

Who are you, and how did you end up at Freyja?

– I’m a 19-year-old guy living on Kungsholmen. I’ve just graduated Swedish upper high school and I enjoy working out, hanging out with friends, and having a good time. How I ended up at Freyja was through a press event I was working at. There, I met Thimmy, who was handling drinks at the bar, and the plan was for me to assist him. After we were done, Thimmy reached out and asked if I wanted to join Freyja, giving me contact details for Jimmy. I met with Jimmy, who shared the ambitions and future dreams for Freyja+Söder. I found the interview cool, and later, Jimmy texted me, ‘Are you in or are you out?’ to which I replied, ‘I’m in.’

How did you get into the industry?

– I started working at Paradiso, a bar on Mariatorget, when I was 17, so I’ve been at it for a while despite my young age. I enjoyed it a lot, but it became a bit slow to continue at the same place, so this offer from Thimmy and then Jimmy came at the perfect time.

Tell us something funny that happened during service at Freyja+Söder!

– *Laughs* Some guys came up to me and said, ‘We’re doing an interview with you,’ some sort of TikTok interview about what I thought about hockey guys. It was pretty weird; I never found the clip later on TikTok, so it was quite strange. Otherwise, I’ve had a pretty smooth time here at Freyja.

Nice! If you came here on your own time, what would you eat and drink, and who would you bring?

– I’d bring my guys, the boys. We’d order a variety of dishes, but for myself, I’d have the grilled pluma. For drinks I’d order a sunny beach on the side, and the guys can order whatever they want.
