We are excited for 2025!
23.01.25We feel fresh and ready for anything 2025 throws at us, and it’s not just because we’ve made a few updates here and there. We’ve got a new menu design and a website that we think looks really sleek – we’re simply excited for what’s to come!
Our new menu design was created by the incredibly talented Emmy Seegers and Molly Schedin, both second-year students in Visual Communication at Beckmans College of Design. Curious about what inspired them and how they think about design, we asked them a few questions to get to know them better.
If your design style were a dish, what would it be and why?
E: I’d say a lasagna – many layers, just like what I usually do.
M: Definitely red! I almost only use it already. I love how intense red is.
If you could only use one color for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
M: Red, for sure! I love how intense it is.
E: Green is serene.
If your work had a soundtrack, which song would be on repeat?
E: Leevi & the Leavings by Vasas flora och fauna – the best song in the world. She sings about a story that’s highly unclear, but the song is still so good. That’s how I think my style is – maybe you don’t get everything, but you can still think it’s nice.
Which film or series has the best visual identity, in your opinion?
M: Spung, a Swedish series from the early 00s with really cool graphics. They use a lot of red text and illustrations in a punky way.
What’s your guilty pleasure in design – something that shouldn’t work but you love?
M: I love stretching and skewing text and images, making it unreadable, but I think it can have its place.
Finally, chaos or perfection?
E: Definitely chaos.
M: Chaos.
