Freyja – an obvious destination for warm summer evenings
Mitt i Stockholm has met the team behind Freyja to find out more about the venture.
“With its several hundred square meter roof terrace, restaurant Freyja is supposed to be an obvious destination for warm summer evenings on Södermalm”. Freyja has a roof terrace with room for 400 guests with a view of Gamla Stan, Slussen and Riddarfjärden, says Mitt i Stockholm.
Chef Emma Shields says that at Freyja, they work with seasonal vegetables and ingredients from small producers. She also says that “we intend to “recreate the feeling of eating at your grandmother’s place as a child”.
Furthermore, Jimmy Dymott, bar manager at Freyja, says that “most of the people who work here are from the South and we want a more playful and happy approach”. You should be able to see this, for example, in our drinks, says Jimmy.
