New menu. New art. Same Freyja.

It often starts at the tables. Between a glass of wine and the final bite. That glance that lingers a little longer than usual. Now it is time again. Freyja’s new menus have arrived and this time they are wrapped in art by Love Törnqvist.

Love is not just an artist with exceptional sensitivity. He is also part of Freyja. A regular. A familiar face. Someone who blends in yet stands out at the same time. Just like his work.

With a 0.35 mm pencil, Love builds worlds where every line matters. It is meticulous, almost obsessive, and completely without shortcuts. The spark was lit early, already as a child, after encountering the work of Yrjö Edelmann. Since then the focus on detail has been uncompromising. The more intricate, the better. When someone mistakes it for a photograph, Love knows he has done it right.

It feels obvious that his art now frames Freyja’s menus. They are not just something to read. They are something to hold, to flip through, to linger with. Maybe they are Stockholm’s finest menus right now. Maybe they are simply exactly right for Södermalm.
